"John Gaudioso's release of UPTOWN 'NOT' is his fourth book in the SMOKY's series emphasizing trust and commitments between a pet and her adopted owner, Tom."
Lady's Beginning
"A small puppy was placed into a cardboard box and left in front of a pet store entrance. There wasn't a note. Not even a name."
"Lady is a small puppy. Maybe her beginning started with children wanting a pet. What child doesn't? It's an emotional plea. What role does a pet play in the purchase?"
In Charge vs. Blind Trust
"Just as in his previous SMOKY stories, John explores underlining reasoning, or not reasoning decisions affecting 'In charge' versus 'Blind Trust' profiles."
"'In charge' purchases a pet, assuming responsibilities that come with ownership in ongoing care... The point being, as pets, they are placing 'Blind Trust' that they will be properly cared for."
"John's stories reflect opportunities, taken or ignored assisting fellow pets by Smoky and Buddy and adults. Case in point. In 'SMOKY's ADVENTURE' and 'SMOKY TO THE RESCUE' Gordon adopted Smoky and Buddy. IN UPTOWN 'NOT' John deals with Lady's predicaments, inviting Sofie, Smoky, Buddy, Gordon Tom and strangers to affect her lifestyle."
"John Gaudioso is pleased to devote his latest story 'UPTOWN NOT' to his young readership."
